Hello here i am again
On my site i have a product with 3 related products. Shows fine
https://dharmashop.tngcentre.org/en/fabrics/brocade-pouch-s-red
However when i click on related product it redirects to homepage
with a strange url:
https://dharmashop.tngcentre.org/en/component/j2store/products/brocade-pouch-s-green

Whenever you come across a link such as
component/j2store/products/brocade-pouch-s-red-2
the component/j2store almost always indicates that it can't find the proper menu item for a link (which usually means it wasn't created). The products you referenced are in the Fabrics > Bags category yet you don't have any published menu item for Bags. I see you have it unpublished which is why it doesn't know where to take the user. If you wish to have all the products in the categories under Fabrics to be associated to a menu item, then you will either need to publish those sub menu items or add the categories in the Choose A Category field of the Fabrics menu item.
