Dave,
I have a working version of that plugin, let me review it and add to the site. Thanks for your patience.
Adam
Hi, Thanks for that.
It's stopping Google finding 1300 items with out it!
I emailed you the beta version, can you let me know if it worked out for you?
Adam
Hi Adam,
Thanks for that, but I recieved nothing from you.
Please try to send the beta version again.
Regards, Dave
Hi Adam,
Thanks for that, yes they were in the spam folder, which wierdly did not sync with my email client. I'll test it out this evening and let you know if there are any issues I come across my end.
Regards, Dave
Hi Adam,
Not good news I'm afraid. The plugin installed fine and there are no errors in console.
When I check the generated sitemap the browser just shows a spinner in the tab and nothing happens, eventually I get an error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 504 ()
On checking the server logs there is an error recorded:
[Fri Mar 07 17:15:12 2025] [error] [client 00.00.00.000:0] AH01075: Error dispatching request to : (polling) (I've hidden the IP from that message)
unpublishing the plugin returns the sitemap to normal operation.
I'm on J5.2.4 and php8.3
I changed my php to 8.2 and 8.1 but the same error remains.
Would you like me to check anything else?
Regards, Dave.
Can you update your website credentials in the fields (not in here) below so I can take a look?
Adam
Hi Adam, Updated.
Dave,
Apologies for the delay. I just jumped in there and ended up rebuilding the plugin and it appears to work on the site now.
I also added the new sales chart for the backend dashboard page as well as our new Quick Start Checklist that will help store owners / devs make sure they have the proper menus created to avoid any issues.
You will see there are two items that need to be done - the checkout is the most important of the two.
You should be good to go! I had fun working on this site as I have a Range Rover myself (although I am on the other side of the pond).
I would like to include this site on our new upcoming showcase for J2Commerce sites and would love to include your website and company name as well (if you wish).
Please let me know either way.
One last thing - we have been tirelessly working on bringing J2Store / J2Commerce back to be better than ever and as everybody is very well aware, have not charged anybody for anything in almost 5 months. If you would leave us a 5 Star review on the JED, we would be most appreciative :)

Thanks again,

Hi Adam,
Many thanks for your efforts, it's greatly appreasiated.
To answer your points:

This looks like a great addition :)

Completed, although these 2 items seem to work without the new menus. Is there a reason for adding these? If so, would it be better to assign them to a hidden menu?

Oh dear! I hope yours is more reliable than the ones we have here! Our workshop is always very busy with broken Land Rovers....lol
I would like to include this site on our new upcoming showcase for J2Commerce sites and would love to include your website and company name as well (if you wish).
Please let me know either way.
Yes, of course, you are welcome to do that. Do we get a dofollow link? Wink!

Yes, I will do that. We will also subscribe when you get fully operational and all the bugs and gremlins have been sorted out.
Now on to the not so good point............
There is an issue with the os plugin. Although it seems to generate the product pages fine it is also butchering some of the urls it creates.
For example:
https://example.co.uk/component/j2store/complete-richards-chassis-defender-90-2-5?Itemid=421
Which is a non existant url and throws a 404 error.
The real url is:
There are quite a few of these in the sitemap.
Perhaps you would take another look.
Regards, Dave
Hi Adam,
Just wondering if you've managed to get to the bottom of this strange behavior?
Regards, Dave
Dave,
Thanks for checking in. I went back to the drawing board and refactored the code and it appears to work the way it should on your site now. Pleae verify on your end. If all looks good, I will close this ticket and update the extension for others.
Also if you haven't done so yet, please don't forget to leave us a review on the JED here:

Thanks Adam,
I've just checked and the plugin now seems to include all the urls, so it should be fine to release to everyone else.
if I find any issues I'll get back to you.
Regards, Dave.
PS. Reveiw left :)
Dave,
Thanks for the review and the great feedback!
