First off, I am very new at J2Commerce. I have a couple of e-commerce sites using Hikashop and I am trying to rewrite them using J2Commerce. I have read the documentation, but I am stuck here: I manually created one product and imported a bunch of others using the Simple CSV Import app. All products apear when I go to the back end and access Components / J2Commerce / catalog / Products. However, there's only a Joomla article for the product I manually created. No imported products have a correponding article, and I can't figure out how to get them created.

The manually created product appears when I use a J2commerce Product List View menu entry, but no imported products show up. is it because those products don't have an article? If so, how do I create them?

Hi Bernard,

let me check, you may not have the latest version that we fixed. What is the version of the plugin you have now?

4.0.1

Olivier

Here is 4.0.2, with a fix for aticles. I will update the site. You have to unzip the file first and install the included zip file.

Thanks!

So, should I uninstall 4.0.1, install 4.0.2, delete the products I have imported and reimport them?

I'm not sure how to uninstall 4.0.1, by the way.

Olivier

No, just install 4.0.2, no need to unistall 4.0.1.

And yes, I think best is to delete imported products and try again.

Thank you, Olivier!

Let me know how it goes :-)

Woohoo! It worked!

I exported all the products, cleared out the product_id column to reimport them as new, removed the row for the product I had created manually from the CSV, deleted the 100 previously imported products from the system, upgraded the import app and reimported. I did have an error about duplicated aliases but I fixed that by adding a character to each cell of the alias column and repeating the import.

Now I have articles and all products appear in the front end.

Thank you very much for the great support.

Olivier

You are welcome, Bernard! Glad it worked out in the end! And thanks for the feedback :-)

Olivier.
