#100 Change billing address in the invoice

Hi,

It is impossible to change the billing address in the invoice.
If you save the changed address, a message "Successfully saved" appears, in fact the entry is not changed.

Happy Holidays! In the screenshots you attached, it's hard for me to see which address page that is. Can you reply with the url of that page so I can make sure you are editing the the address in the correct place?

It is the invoice S-1351. However, the problem exists with all invoices.

Can you take a backup of the database and send me a link via email? The address update works on new installs without issue so I am thinking some of the older j2store tables may not have been fully updated. Even just an export of the j2store_ tables sould be enough.

the vgarh_j2store_addresses table has extra columns so I am wondering if the issue is linked to custom fields that would have been created.

In particular, the fields:

  • hausnummer
  • addessline_3
  • address_3
  • adressenzusatz

have been added as columns to the table.

I have created the following fields in "Settings / Custom Fields"

  • hausnummer
  • addessline_3
  • address_3
  • adressenzusatz

and later

  • hausnummer
  • addessline_3
  • address_3

deleted again.

It seems that these fields have not been deleted in the DB

Hi Joerg,

I believe you should manually delete the columns in the database table when there is no associated custom field available. 

Then check if you can save the billing address again.

I deleted the fields:

hausnummer
addessline_3
address_3
adressenzusatz

manually. Afterwards I could change the addresses different invoices without invoice S-1351.

What could be the Problem?

Hi Joerg,

could you clarify? I am not sure I understand your latest reply.

  • did you delete the cusom fields?
  • did you remove the columns of the table in the database?
  • Was the addition of addresses possible after the 2 previous steps were done?
