I do not have an exact reference or link. I think it would be very useful to be able to easily add content on the checkout page, such as blocks of text or forms for any greeting messages if the customer wanted to give a gift (different delivery address is not enough).
I just tried adding a text block in setup/configuration/checkout layout/Checkout Shipping address layout but in frontend nothing changed.

I would like to add a simple notice before the choice of shipping and payment type. I added the message in the field “Checkout payment method layout ” but the message appears after shipping and payment.
Unlike “Checkout billing address layout ‘ and ’Checkout Shipping address layout ‘ , ’Checkout payment method layout ” is empty, there is no possibility to change anything.
What can I do to change the location of my message?
