hi, congratulations and all my best wishes for this new project.

One of the most important features that i miss in J2store, and that is absolutelly mandatory in any modern web commerce, is the ability to enable all the source code, tags, and data structures that google analytics requires to track all the information.

i'm talking about the google tag manager enhaced ecommerce.

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/ga4/ecommerce?hl=es-419&client_type=gtag

as you can see, it's available on prestashop, woocommerce, etc...

Without these integration, google analytics can not track all the customers and sales information correctly.

It's so easy to hack the products and categories views to add the google tags code, but, there is a very important step that google needs: all the modern ecommerce shows a resume of the cart when a customer confirm the payment. It's because google needs to track the sell confirmation of all the products presents in the cart. As you know, j2store and j2commerce doesnt show anything after the payment confirmation, only a greeting message, and it makes impossible to track the sells from the start to the end as google wants.

It's very dificult to solve this last problem without to hack several j2store core files.

¿is the implementation of google tags in your future features list?

thanks

infoal,

I am very aware of the necessity to have both GA4 and Tag Manager J2Commerce plugins availalbe. The good news is I have already built them out for my own clients, however I will need to update them both and clean them up for public release.  These will both be release in the 2nd Quarter of this year and once we have finished our new extension system, we will have more updates on new extensions as well as updates on existing ones...
