It would be great to have the out-of-stock button when clicked to load the email field in a modal rather than loading under the button itself as this UI is not that great. and you can change the out-of-stock warning to Notify Me or something similar.

Hi Gerald,
yes, we totally agree, some parts of the UI needs 'some love' and we are putting improved pieces in place as we go along the re-building of J2Commerce.
In a general rule, though, I am against modals in most instances when it comes to the user experience on a site (for administration, it is totally fine). Modals are highly unusable when poping up on a mobile device.
We do appreciate your suggestion and feedback!
