Hi there. I have been using J2Store for several years and I am now looking at J2Commerce. The Yootheme app is a great idea and can be a game changer for J2Commerce. Please keep up the good work.

A feature I would like to see is the automatic deletion of old images when a product is deleted. I deal with many websites that sell one off or individual items and if old images are not deleted each and every time a product is removed we can have a build up of old photos which make the adding of new products slower because we have to navigate through all the old images first.

I can see this might be difficult to execute but other shopping carts such as Hikashop have this feature.

Thank you!

Thank you for the suggestion!

While I can see a benefit for those such as yourself, I can also see it causing some issues for those who may have different products that share the same image.  We will need to think of what else would be needed to ensure this only affects images for the deleted product which would most likely also entail changing how the images are initially saved.  I am adding this to our feature suggestions, but with the upcoming 4.1 Release as well as several of our more complicated extensions, I would not hold my breath for this option at the moment.

Thank you Adam.

Maybe a global preference could be made available in settings that would allow images to be auto deleted if a product is deleted. So a user could toggle the auto delete feature on or off. But I understand this is complex and the feature is not a prority. I won't be holding my breath! But many thanks for the reply.
